Framed ‘Thimble’ (Remnant Four)

We’ve dramatised the tale of Beulah Dye’s lost thimble by block-printing on a striking crimson—almost blood red—20th century postal sack.

The unique artwork features a contrasting patch, reinforced corners and original hardware: patinaed brass D-rings. The heart of the piece—the thimble—evokes archaeology, sitting as it does on a recessed patch, unearthed.

The work floats within a handmade, glazed frame; frame, slip and backboard are elegantly finished in contrasting matt Grey.

Finally, the work comes with a compelling backstory, conceived by Cameron and tucked into an envelope.
