* Constructed from robust C19th hemp, agricultural in origin

* Textile is richly patinaed, tobacco in colour, with a wealth of original mends and patches

* Bag’s flap and body are adorned with the tale of Beulah Dye’s lost thimble. Some of the original repairs are printed over, adding to the textile’s layered history

* In parts, the bag is beautified with snippets of original stencilled type

* Shoulder and flap straps are vintage leather, repurposed from equestrian tack

* Shoulder strap is adjustable, and comes with original brass buckle and leather housing

* Closure is a heavy duty zip, antiqued brass, with twine pull

* Edges are encased in the same antique hemp, and hand-stitched

* Lined in green & blue striped Irish linen

* Editioning patch (III of V) on inside flap
