This timeless piece - based on a Georgian gentleman’s garment - is made in a herringbone lambswool tweed. Details include: a high collar, a ladder of buttons at the front (buttonholes are all hand-finished), a contrasting back in fine, Irish linen, an antique cinch bronze buckle, two generous watch pockets and an original block print of a charming clay pipe (its bowl carved as a bonneted female face and inscribed ‘Paris’) patched to the inside breast pocket. Available to order in a variety of textiles, it is created by Janet Tristram at Bonfield in rural West Dorset.
